Inca museum plate for Interior Design 4

Poster i made... Credits to the owners of these photos I found through Google!!!

Get ready for some RUSHED rendering.

We were assigned to Anthropological Museum: INCAS for our Interior Design 4 class and spent days working on this... We sorta crammed but thank goodness our concept and floor plan saved us! Our professor was in a good mood and didn't mind our rendering...

AND we gave up on calculating the lux/lumens for each room til the last minute... So happy that we weren't asked that question anymore! Pia, Toni and I got a 98 for this... WOOPWOOP! Not sleeping at all paid off!

hospital plate (updated)

We had to do a hospital plate for our Interior Design 4 class and panicked when our professor told us that we all had to use Google Sketchup...

We all took basic and advanced AUTOCAD, but this was our first time to use Sketchup... The results are sort of stiff and it was so hard to control the textures, but it sure saves time. So thankful that there's a 3D Warehouse where you can download some pre-made furniture already. Still, each room took so much time to make!

I wanted my hospital to be super clean and contemporary... Took inspiration from the color scheme of MUJI! And because hospitals require certain materials to make sure it's always clean and sanitized, the flooring for the patients' rooms had to vinyl with a faux wood finish. For the lobby, I used marble.

Just try to picture it to be a real hospital since the images are really "cold". There's a reason that professors still prefer manual drafting and rendering- the designer's personal touch is reflected on every plate. But revisions are super easy when they're digital, so you can't really stick to one method!

This is the original floor plan that our professor sent us...

And we had to use SketchUp to create our rooms...

*edited: a reader's comment made me realize that I didn't write a note earlier that I hid a lot of walls in my model to show interiors... Here's how it looks like with the walls up (I also hid the ceiling and lights)

I have to continue with AutoCAD and learn how to use 3Ds Max to make prettier presentations... You can download Google SketchUp for free HERE.

Filipino traditional furniture sketches... Would've done them in freehand but that would take me more time. Filipino furniture requires so much detailing! Don't have photos showing the details though. Huu.

Those are just SOME of the things I was rushing to finish so I could catch up to my family in Baguio for New Year's. Forgot to take a photo of the mood boards since I was really in a hurry. If I didn't pass them I had the option to stay alone in our Manila home to spend new year's by myself. Umm, no thanks.

Loved the earthy and green vibe of this place. Even their accessories and place mats were eco-friendly.

An hour away from Baguio, we stopped by this place that had Kopi Luwak or Coffee Alamid. My dad sorta tricked me into drinking this. They were hunting for those beans before during a mountain expedition with my brother. They sent me a video and I vowed to never taste it because of how the beans were.... harvested. I found out that I was indeed taking a sip of that coffee after seeing the cat drawing on the cup. It's Php 300 per cup and it actually tastes good. But I think I can go on with life without ever ordering it again. :))

Mum and dad's room from below. Couldn't take a photo of the whole facade from the balcony cos of my prime lens. *apologizes*

Gonna do the last few plates I have to pass this week during the first week of the new term. School is crazyyy!
