Furne One x Bench

The launch for the most awaited collaboration between Bench and Furne Onè was held last November 8 at the Peninsula Manila through showcasing 42 never-before-seen pieces of Furne Onè’s new creation, with shoes provided by local designer Nereku.

Furne Onè X Bench Bench creates a stellar collaboration with one of Dubai’s most prestigious designers, Furne Onè. The designer has truly come a long way from being rewarded in Mega Young Designers Competition, an apprenticeship with Josie Natori, gaining the first prize at the Japan’s Women’s Wear Awards, a finalist in Manila’s Fashion Designer Awards three years later, a store in Dubai with a roster of elite clientele, guesting in Germany’s Next Top Model, and this year, as Bench’s designer perfume “concoctionist.”

Three scents are going to be released this season under this collaboration: Unholy Eau de Toilette, and an oxymoron of scents such as Beautiful Boy Eau de Toilette, and Handsome Girl Eau de Toilette. The first fragrance, Unholy, is bottled in a red, glass flask (pictured above). A unisex scent, it has a top note of mandarin, a middle aroma of rose, and musk as its base note. Beautiful Boy, a fragrance for men, is a concoction of grapefruit, neroli, bergamot, cardamon, peppery, rosewood, iris and musk. And lastly Handsome Girl has a floral and fruity cocktail blend of apple, melon, lemon, orange, frangipani, neroli, cedarwood, amber and musk.

The face of Furne Onè’s scent for Bench is none other than Raina Hein of the 14th cycle of America’s Next Top Model (pictured here with owner of Amato Haute Couture, Furne One, and Ben Chan).

The show was enchanting with the right hints of eeriness throughout the production, brought about by the music and choreography on the revolving stage. It was definitely one of the best fashion shows I've seen this year!

I almost never participate in Fashion Week and would usually just catch up on the trends through photos online. Occasionally, I accept an invite when a friend is showcasing or a friend is in need of someone to go with. That was the case last Sunday (the last day of fash week) when Neil asked me to accompany him to the Rajo Laurel x Bench show. While the other bloggers who had booths at the SUPERB Bazaar were able to watch the other shows the whole week, I was stuck either at home baking (we ran out during our 2nd day!) or at the bazaar watching over our booth. It wasn't a big deal and I was actually having more fun selling our sweets!

The biggest problem I have to face during fash week is probably preparing my outfits. As much as people categorize me as a style blogger, I hate planning or preparing outfits and always base my looks on whatever's clean/unworn in my wardrobe. Because of this, I wasn't able to wear pink for Rajo's Pink Party and Neil hated me for that. Sorry, Nike! I just don't have anything pink in my closet! :)

Rajo's show was extremely colorful and fun! The endorsers and models danced during the whole show and Rajo taught everyone this move during the finale. Sadly I didn't get to stay & talk with everyone else right after since I had to handle egress for our booth on the same night. This was such a tiring week- having to handle our booth, oversee construction & then bake each night! So glad it's over and I am trying to focus on construction & editing some more photos this week.

We have a gig at Saguijo this Wednesday with Kate Torralba, Saab Magalona's BBYGRL, Domino and Techyromantics. It'd be cool if you guys could come! And of course BLOGGERS UNITED is on June 2. Really looking forward to seeing you guys there!!!

Leg Love

DAS supplied shoes for Pablo Cabahug's segment during the Leg Love fashion show & I got invited by sisters (DAS founders) Sureen and Neeresh to watch the show with them.

It happened at Rockwell Tent and at the same night I got my very first pair of heelless shoes!!!

The stockings were all so sexy and adorable!

This is my fave from the set... But then again, I love them all!

They are so BEAUTIFUL and they're honestly comfortable. These babies add 6" to my height.

They laughed and wondered why I said "I'm their photographer!" to one person who asked if I was related to them while they were telling people I was their sister. Well, I did shoot their first two collections. Sureen: "Why didn't you just say you were our friend?!" LOL.
