Dad's pocket charger saved my iPhone from dying inside the van. Traffic was heavy cos of the typhoon and we were stuck, but thankfully his mobile WiFi kept us entertained...

Obsessing over the powder-blue nail lacquer from Dashing Diva. I want to find one by O.P.I. or Chanel!

It rained really hard today but I didn't get to dress for the weather since it was too sunny when we had just left for Tagaytay. Wasn't shivering, though. Can you say, insulation? :))

Dad's thin Salmon slices

Riz looks Japanese!
Funny how the peeps at the Green Giant FM contest said that she had "her own style"- and she quickly said that I was her stylist... I think the way I dress down has influenced her in a way (denims, very laid-back tops and layering), but honestly, I'm not so proud of that! I think I even have to put more effort in the way I dress, but I refuse not to cos I'm trying to prioritize other things and set fashion on the side just a bit...

Rizza's fish fillet + mashed potatoes

I pretty much wolfed down this entire pizza :)

Quick stop to Healthy Options

My weekend turned out to be so fun, with friends visiting from different cities and friends holding parties for their last day in the city... Found myself pigging out once again after finding out that I was below the recommended BMI for my height- but later realized that I was trying to gain it back THE WRONG WAY. I need to gain me tons of muscle and lose all the remaining flab. I guess I'm eating healthily, but I allow myself to indulge in the bad things (pizza, cake, fried food) when the weekend comes. I think I have to remind myself that I can only completely pig out once a week! Riz just rolls her eyes whenever I keep screaming out "I'm soooo hungry" minutes after my last meal, but dad keeps tellin me it's fine cos I need the energy for school, work and my workouts.

Do you guys find yourself eating more after increasing the intensity of your workouts??? I know I have to be eating less for my weight, but others say that I should be eating more for energy. I don't trust anything from the internet now since different sites state different things, so I think I'm better off asking YOU guys for help.... HELP! :P

On a side note, we finally made a Facebook page for WALKIE TALKIES! Like it and be one of the cool ones :)

Cumpleaños!

I wasn't tempted! :)

Me and my younger siblings :)

I intended my birthday celebration this year to be a more intimate one. My 18th wasn't a big debut, it was a surprise birthday dinner- my mom and brother flew in from Cebu to gather up my friends at TGI Friday's (I was so stressed with play/combat rehearsals back then to even think about having a party) which turned out to be sweet and fun. My 19th was also sorta a big gathering at Fiamma. That party made everyone guessing as to how I was going to celebrate my "scrapping of the teen" birthday. I was sad that I wasn't gonna be able to invite most of my friends, but I felt that I had to make it a smaller celebration. I think this age isn't so significant to feel the need to have a big bash anyways. Gotta save for my summer trips!

Had a private screening at the Columbia Pictures office (have to thank my uncle for that) and moved to Tender Bob's for an early dinner. Mum and brother made it late since they flew in from Cebu again, and the beau had to leave early since he had to be on TV (nooo I can't find a full video of it on YouTube!). Still happy about the turnout-- all my close friends were there. :)

Waited for the beau for a long time and practically fell asleep at home for a few hours before we could drive to Bureau for the afterparty. Saw a couple more friends that I haven't seen in a long time which made me SOOO happy! I think I stopped taking pictures after a couple of minutes cos of all the excitement. :)

I've noticed that I've become more aware of the fact that I've been blessed with so many good people in my life. I've hated myself for not being thankful enough that there are people who actually care for me, I've taken them for granted and I just realized that I haven't been expressing my gratitude. Maybe I didn't see it then because I allowed myself to wallow in self-pity (ugh self-centeredness is such a sin)... The whole weekend I found myself smiling inside soo much. So happy that so far we've all been drama-free, after noticing so many people who actually thrive and live for the drama. I'd hate to be one of those people-- drama is toxic. I would never want to pull in so many people into my problems. Some people have to learn that, too!

This will be a good year for me!

:)

sleep and merriment

PSID Christmas Party

More batchmates

Tagaytay with la familia
(Such a small group! Lacking 1 more Cabrera family, mum and my brother)
Oh yes I was the only one who wasn't "out of it" yet I'm the eldest among my cousins :))

Oh yes, I finally figured out how to create trippy, slow-sync shots with my Lumix :))
AND I survived 2 Christmas parties without pigging out. HA! Good luck to me for the other upcoming parties.

My supposedly party-hungry buddies and I were surprisingly prim and proper during our school's Christmas party. Hmm... I think they're harder to please when it comes to the crowd and music. Oh and I forgot to mention that "well-behaved" was the best way to describe me that night- we practically sat on the couch the whole night and still managed to sweat! Man that's my pet peeve when it comes to clubs- bad AC.

My schoolmates and I were rejoicing that we'd finally be able to sleep during our break! Yes, sleep deprivation or NOT SLEEPING AT ALL is quite normal in our course. I actually had a hard time sleeping normally after 10 hours of sleep the other night. I stayed up til 5:30 AM the following night/day cos I felt like I slept too much the night before. At least I can get hours of shut-eye now! I was amazed at how much difference that can make to your whole aura. I've been living with the zombie look for months now. Hopefully I haven't given anyone a scare. :))

My holidays will be filled with WORK. Thankfully my loved ones will be coming over.

:)

AND OH!
CONGRATULATIONS TO CORO SAN BENILDO FOR MAKIN IT TO THE MBC CHORAL COMPETITION FINALS!
So sad I wasn't able to join them during the semis and finals... GRRRR couldn't practice and compete with them cos of my final exams and projects! Still, I'm sooo proud of them for making it to the top 10, battling against 80+ awesome choirs from all over the Philippines! So proud :) It's amazing how we've grown as a choir. I can still remember those times when I was still starting out with Coro and we had trouble finding a conductor. Went through so many hardships and it's so cool how we're starting to be called a good choir. Imagine being able to compete with the country's most matured and recognized chorales! Anyone can sing but it takes real talent and perseverance to entertain! I'm not all about recognition, it's just that it's nice being able to see and feel that the hard work my choir mates and conductor has poured into this is paying off. Choir is not easy. It is not merely a matter of getting spoon fed the right harmonies/notes. Add that to the work and schoolwork each one of us has to put up with everyday. I'm amazed at our ability to stay energized. Thank God for coffee and power naps? No. Thank GOD! :)

That's all... Happy Holidays, everyone!
