I had to fly to Manila the day after her birthday to settle some things for work, then traveled to Cebu again 2 days after to prepare for Sinulog weekend.

Went for a night out with the girls on Thursday, had a gig at the Outpost on Friday, then had my early birthday celebration at one of the ballrooms at City Sports on Saturday before hitting the clubs.

Sunday at Baseline...

Nix Damn P! 

How crazy am I for snapping photos while trying to maintain my balance on the fence with these two?! Some of you may have read my tweet- some guards kept hitting our butts with tall sticks since they wanted us off this fence. Ha!!

By this point, I had to leave. The photos show how blurry my vision was getting from all the shots I took. We walked to Ayala where I had dinner with Mia and some of my friends before I managed to end up at the Marriott hotel where my parents stayed for the night.

The madness at Baseline during Sinulog gets crazier each year! Gotta hand it to the Rhipstop/Spectrum .PH team... It's always a party to remember! My guests are always looking forward to the street party and Cebu gets flooded with visitors from all over the world because of the beautiful Sinulog parade. Next trip, I'll be hittin the beaches since I miss island-hopping around Cebu. 

Love visiting this city because I'll never get tired of the warmth and hospitality of the Cebuanos. The people add to the list of what one can look forward to, aside from the resorts and all the food of course. Thank you to those who helped me show my friends from Manila why I love this place! And to my mom (I know you're reading this)- you're the best host ever!

I decided to join the parade this year with the beau and took 2 of my guests (Nini + Jen) with me while Pia, Paolo, Sam and my sister went to Baseline for the street party. I really can't decide which one is better but I sure had A BLAST this year! I can't even remember taking half of the photos in my camera. We were dancing in the streets for about 7 hours that day til we reached the grand stadium. We had dinner at Mr. M then I went home to change for my gig at Outpost that night. Congratulations again to IPI for winning the best float category this year! It was so pretty this year with the fairytale theme.

My good friend Steven invited us for merienda at the Abaseria when my guests arrived. Those goodies with their traditional tsokolate = perfection! Visit the Abaseria at Mabolo for native/Filipino food and products.

Saturday night at GILT. I love this place!!! The interiors are awesome and I instantly recognized Delphine De Lorme's artworks (I'm a fan). It's the second floor of Vudu at Crossroads.

Sinulog 2011- Sunday (part2)

Last year, I joined the parade and celebrated Sinulog with the Castillos/IPI and some friends. This year, I decided to join the big street party since I had guests from Manila... This is how the streets are like during the Sinulog festival...

We had brunch and didn't head to the streets til 2:30PM since we waited for the rain to stop...

We got dropped off Ayala Center and had to walk to Baseline since the traffic was horrible and there were so many road blocks already along the way...

We took a longer route going back to Ayala since people were already blocking the previous one we took earlier! I think I forgot for a second that not everyone enjoyed walking like I did.

We reached City Sports Club where my driver parked the car and then we went to Ila Puti at I.T. Park since most of them were starving...

There were about 3 bands performing there and Riz and I decided to just jam & sing one song... But we ended up singing an entire set since they kept asking for more! So fun!

Went home and we all took our time in the shower. The water turned blue when I was bathing! Changed and went to Maya (my fave bar in Cebu) to just chill, meet up with some friends and drink...

Tried their Sangria which was reallyyyyy good. Maya has the best mojitos and margaritas, too! Glad they're opening up a branch in Manila. They serve really good Mexican food.

2 cars died on us... Weird, right? We had to go back and forth to lend each other this jumper. It was raining and I pitied the guys. Good thing the flyover was just close to Crossroads (where the two cars were).

We went to Outpost to listen to some bands and meet up with some more friends. The Outpost has that CubaoX/Saguijo feel but it's much smaller plus it's just one main house. I remember coming to this place before when I was in high school. It wasn't so popular back then. Really nice place to chill and listen to live music!

I think my photos pretty much give y'all an idea of how much fun Sinulog was this year. It gets better every damn year, I tell ya! My friends kept saying that they're going to convince their friends to come to the next one. I can't wait for Sinulog 2012!!!
