#RealWedding // May 29, 2015

Darie hates this photo, but I love it. His face had to be blurred so I could keep the photo with Jas as our witness!

We look like wedding guests. When I opened a private album on Facebook for my family, my siblings thought we had just attended some other couple's wedding!

They have this cheesy photo booth at City Hall with harsh lights against a backdrop - we look extremely red even after post.

Reiterating that I hyphenated my name instead of completely changing it... Do you know how much a bitch paperwork is when women change their names?! Think of all the IDs, documents and cards I've had to slowly change... It's unfair. Men should change their family names (shoutout to Zoe Saldana's hubbs!).

Not feeling the gravity of this event at this point.

Shaking at the sight of serious paperwork...

NERVOUS

BOOM. Done in 2 minutes.

I've decided to post photos from our "real" wedding after comparing it to our photos from our intimate wedding & reception in the Philippines... Honestly felt like this secret elopement was 200x better than the latter... I didn't smile as much but these photos look so much more authentic to me than being dressed to the nines around other well-dressed people.

It feels weird to be called a wife. It helps that I'm really into my partner!

Bye Bye Bras

Lips - Reign by Kylie Cosmetics
Sunglasses - Fendi, top - Lululemon, bag- Balenciaga, sandals- Ann Demeulemeester,  sunglasses - Fendi, boyfriend jeans - Abercrombie & Fitch

After seeing a friend from Manila yesterday, I realized that 95% of my outfits are technically no-bra looks. She mentioned that last week was the first time she's ever been bra-less, and that NYC was the perfect place to start since a lot of girls just choose to leave out that extra thick and painful layer especially in the summer. For this look I had a thin 4" tube top to simply cover a bit of my back since this top has a wide opening behind it. I'm a bit nervous about letting my babies fly out when I travel to the Philippines next week because people raise their eyebrows at the sight of boobs (even under your dark top), but a part of me has changed ever since moving to America. I refuse to care about people's opinions when my husband or the rest of my family doesn't even mind.

If you're reading this and you don't have giant jugs like me (ha!), I urge you to let your babies free more often- this strengthens your chest muscles since you're not relying on fake support and it's honestly empowering. If men aren't forced to cover up their nipples, why should we, when EVERYONE has them?!
