052016 + Graduation

My poor bag, always filled with bananas, apples and nuts for snacks!

varsity jacket- Adidas, Run Away sneaker- Louis Vuitton, sunglasses- Prada, bag- Givenchy, top- Zara, leggings- Lululemon

My friend Jastine just commented on how I should quit this athleisure look but I can't seem to stray from it! It's just easier to dress down when it's about to get hotter in New York (YES!) so I always wear a light cover-up for when the AC is blasting at work.

Also- Adidas is killing it at the moment and I'm about to break away from the blacks since their new collection is TDF.

In more important news, I'm officially DONE with grad school and I am looking forward to my month-long break this August!!! Also happy that I can work more now. Need to get some vacation funds ready! But seriously, I have to focus on getting back into the world of Interior Design, especially since I have to practically rebuild my career here... not that I'm complaining- this city is the best place to be for designers like me!

The fancy venue for this year's Pratt grad- Radio City Music Hall!

The most annoying important men in my life!

I am ready, excited, driven and at the same time a bit scared for what's to come - this combination is what fuels my passion!

One of my electives for my final semester at Pratt was Parametrics. We had to learn to use Grasshopper with Rhino, an amazing and powerful modeling tool used by a lot of architects and engineers. Grasshopper is much like coding and is very complicated. Grasshopper definitions look intimidating, but I was able to grasp some of the basics in one semester.

Our first project required us to create a grasshopper definition that could create 5 different modules with a few tweaks in the definition. I knew I wanted to create holders for accessories- simply because I wanted to be able to use them after the semester!

Grasshoppper definition I worked on

I'm planning on creating better versions so I can create and sell them on Shapeways. Every girl needs nice jewelry holder thangs!

We had another project for the final... Posting that one up next!

You guys have no idea how happy I am that it's getting warmer in the city!!! There were so many things I took for granted while living in the Philippines- wearing shorts and tank tops all year round included! I guess it's also fun to layer up but I can't say this enough- I HATE winter. I'm forever an island girl.

I've decided to stock up on dresses now that I'm about 3 months from finishing my masters and going back to the real world of interior design. It's not really me but it's just easier to look put-together with dresses. I don't need to mix and match and I just pair them with nice shoes for work! I guess that has never crossed my mind all these years I've been living in jeggings and yoga pants.

It's not that warm yet so I haven't had time to really take photos around the city, but I'm excited to resurrect from the blogging ashes so I can post tons of old photos and outfits. I'm also working on my first ever exhibit/trade show piece in New York with 3 of my classmates. It deserves a lengthy post and we're super proud of it since we had to compete for a spot! We are building a booth for Dining by Design, an amazing charity event by DIFFA!!! I'm so excited to post photos of the final outcome- we're building it ourselves and we were given a budget for it.

This first post in months is all thanks to Romwe- they sent me this dress and it's what inspired me to get back into blogging (btw I did not expect their dresses to be soooo affordable). My husband has been super supportive and has transformed into an Instagram Husband overnight, LOL. Excited to share with you future projects, wedding reception plans & photos from the city!
